Bow Thruster System

The assignment consists of the choice of the type of bow thruster.

 

  • an electric bow thruster driven by the batteries of the electric motor or the generator

or

  • a hydraulic thruster driven by an electrically driven hydromotor that draws its energy from the batteries of the electric motor or the generator

Together with Poseidon our team has chosen the most modern and powerfull electric driven bow thruster.

The complete bow thruster has been ordered from Poseidon Propulsion BV. The photos above are from the production process there.
